Potential Pilot Project: Ohio Micro-Breweries

Breweries require large amounts of hot water and steam plus use electricity for lots of equipment.  In other parts of the world companies are leveraging this as a great opportunity for Combined Heat and Power Projects.   Why don’t any Ohio breweries have CHP?

This article lays out a partnership between the spirits company responsible for producing Guinness beer at breweries in Nigeria and Clarke Energy, a distributor of GE’s Jenbacher gas engines in order to install a combined heat and power (CHP) plant and lower cost of production.
